
CoQ10 is a vitamin-like compound crucial
to energy production in every cell in the body and helps convert
food into energy. CoQ10 is an important fat-soluble antioxidant,
as it is unique in its ability to protect the cells' energy
generators from free radical damage.
For some time CoQ10 has been considered beneficial
in the treatment of heart disease, and to normalize blood
pressure, strengthen the immune system, and slow the aging
process. Most recently it was proven to slow the progression
of Parkinson's and Huntington's diseases. It is also believed
to be helpful in the slowing of other neurological disorders.
It is not surprising to find a seemingly endless number of
diseases that respond favorably to CoQ10. It generally has
no side effects, even in high doses. I will not claim that
CoQ10 can cure you, but I believe that it will protect you.
